Hit These 3 Things Everyday to Look, Feel and Perform Your Best

How to build a meal 101. Protein source, plants source and some colour. 80% of your meals should be build like this. The other 20% of meals and calories can come from things that support adherence i.e. indulgences (icecream, chocolate, lollies, cakes, whatever it is you like) or extra carbs to support athletic performance and body composition goals. This 80/20 rule allows you to hit your goals and eat in a sustainable way that keeps you healthy and performing well over the long term.

If you don’t have access to a fridge and lunches are often bought, you can easily find options that keep you in shape. Zambreros, Guzman, Sumo Salad, hell even McDonalds has some pretty decent options now. Some easy rules for take out lunches. Choose: a lean protein that isn’t fried(double protein if you exercise regularly), extra salad/veg/colour where possible, skip the fries, and choose a sugar free or low sugar drink option such as Coke Zero.

A can of V and smoke for breaky, Chips chocolate and coke combo for lunch and maccas drive thru on the way home for dinner isn’t going to cut it if you don’t want to feel like you’ve been hit by a bus everyday you wake up.
